AngelFish GA®- Adaptive Aquatics
Gwinnett Swim has expanded our programs to better serve our swimmers with special needs. Gwinnett Swim now proudly offers the AngelFishGA Adaptive Aquatics (AFGA) program as part of our swim school.
For the past 15 years, AFGA, led by Linda Cosby, has specialized in adaptive swim instruction for children and adults with special needs across Gwinnett County. By bringing her expertise and her certified instructors into our program, we are now able to offer specialized lessons designed to help every swimmer succeed.
Learning to swim can be especially challenging for children and adults with cognitive or physical differences, and can require additional techniques, time and training. Through the Swim Angelfish® methodology, AFGA instructors are trained to recognize and work through these unique roadblocks, helping swimmers progress safely and
confidently.
Our AFGA program follows a membership structure to provide swimmers with consistency and repetition to build the skills they need. There is an annual registration fee of $100 per student. We also accept several funding agencies for tuition assistance.
